Default cams & heads

would a cam of a 97 360 fit into a 318 and for the heads i know there magnum heads so would i just have to shave them or is there more thanks in advanced

never use a USED camshaft.

If you do what you are thinking of doing, you will break your truck.

Actually you can reuse a ROLLER camshaft, which all magnums use. They do not wear in like the flat tappet cams. On a budget it is fine if the cam is in good shape. I would not bother with putting one in on a performance build, I would just get a good KRC or comp cam.

Reusing the factory LT-1 roller cam is really popular with budget 305ci guys with 3rd gen camaros.

Just curious, what else would break? Everything but the bore, stroke and cam is the same on these motors.
