Default Clicking noise/feeling

Hey all,

I have been noticing that if I am going over a bumpy road, or sometimes when I turn, I can feel a clicking in my steering wheel and my floorboard. I have crawled under the truck, and nothing is loose, worn out...are there some bushings somewhere in the steering that would wear out and cause this? The axle u-joints and everything are nice and tight also.

Thanks

Could be a loose shock. Mine did exactly the same thing, and just turned out to be loose upper shock nut(s)/bolt(s) on the driver's side.

Same exact thing happened to me. I want to say the top mounts are around 30 foot pounds, and the bottom mounts are 100 foot pounds. Snug all the fasteners up and see if the noise goes away.

That would make sense, since I just did a leveling kit and took the shocks out. Thanks guys, will double check after the retards finish redoing my tint, since they obviously didnt clean the window/film good enough and left bubbles.

Check Ball joints as well. Mine clicked before I changed them.

Just checked the nuts on the spacer and the shocks, and they are tight. Ball joints seem tight...next step will be pulling it into the garage and putting it on jack stands to check ball joints and wheel bearing movement.

Thanks

Could be lower shock mounts too. I had that when I replaced the stock shocks with a set of ranchos. The sleeve on the front drivers side was too big for the bolt, causing the shock to have about 1/8" of play on the axle. ANNOYING AS HELL. Tightening the lower shock bolts won't do anything accept make them harder to remove.

I bought a 9/16" bolt from the hardware store and everything is fine again. Good luck

bumping under feet = lower shock bolts. torque with a pull bar/pipe to 100+ pounds.

edit - i had to replace a rear lower bolt that was worn down from 9/16 to about 3/8. even when tight it still rattled.
