Default looking for help on motor swap

I am buying a 94 ram short box and it is cheap and body wise is great shape. The motor has 450,000 km on it and is tired. I also have a 80 ram charger that is beat but I rebiult the 318 and it has about 5000 km on it, can any one tell me if the blocks are the same, can I swap into my 94 with the top end of the magnum?THANKS

the ram charger has an LA block and the ram has MAGNUM not the same engines. the magnums got different heads and a few subtle changes. so i do not believe it would be an easy swap. this has been covered a few times, search for LA engine and you should pull up something. tyhat gives you more details.

thanks for the info, I have not done any reaserch other than this post. I thought some one would know if it can be done or not. I guess the best thing to do is look for donor motor and rebiuld.
