Default tranny finally went

well my tranny started giving me problems back in august and today i finally lost my reverse (really sucks trying to push a 5000+ pund truck by yourself) and im looking at getting it fixed (if i have enough left on my credit card lol) im gonna take it to aamco and have them put in a shift kit and external cooler as well. anything else i should get while im at it?

look into the replacement of the governor stuff with the GM version. see Monte's threads about it.

If you get a converter, Get one from Precision of new Hampton.

well i chose aamco over cotman because they have a 36 month 36k warrenty, they knew what i meant by a shift kit, and they were a few hundred cheaper on th estimate. the rebuild comes with a converter also, and they have no incidents with the better business bureau

there os another place near me but theyre kinda shadetree

Well it's Gonna be 3100 for a new trans, tc with2200 stall, shift kit, external cooler, both diffs fluids changed and tranfer case fluid changed. 3 year 36000 mi warrenty

Yea and 2200 stall is high for a stock motor. Event bluebeast has a 2000 or 2200 and his has a nice cam.
