Accell makes good stuff. I am not so sure about the U-groove spark plugs though.... No experience with those.

I would also check with a local parts store, and see how prices compare. Advantage of getting it locally is that if there is a problem, you can go see someone, and get it dealt with on the spot, ordering online..... not so easy.

When Accel used to be made in America and was owned by Echlin, it was good stuff. Now it is owned by MR gasket and most products are made overseas. The quality may be ok but the markup is unreal.
Point is is that you can buy qualty stuff made here or elsewhere for the same price.
Examples would be "house brand" caps and rotors sold by Jegs, Niehoff's heavy duty stuff also sold as the "Nascar" brand, and Taylor wires.
I don't have any info on U-groove plugs either, but never felt a need to run anything other than good 'ol Champions or Autolites. Unless you have some uber-trick induction/ignition setup that requires them, a fairly stock motor won't see much of a benefit.

One good thing about the set is it is cheaper than buying the same components separately.

Not if you're a savy shopper.

Did a quick check:

Jegs: Brass terminal cap rotor set 19.95
Summit: Taylor 8 mm silicone wires 55.00
local store champions 8@ 1.99 15.95
total 80.95

The Taylor wires are much better than an Accel wire.

I just put all that in saturday...it's a good kit I think. It helped my truck a good bit, even though I still have a blown plenum. That said, my cap and rotor were pretty worn...and I was running f@rd spark plugs. It seems like a pretty good kit...as far as I can tell.
