Default a few upgrades to the dodge

i got a 01 dodge ram 2500 4x4 witha 360 in it. its all stock its got a hollowed out cat and a flowmaster super 44 on it. i'm gonna have new exhaust put on it with a thrush muffler(i like how they soudns thats all) now if i found some shorty headers on ebay for like 250 bucks they are new. they seem kinda cheap to me... so just say i get these headers is it gonna give me a little more power or am i just better off with some name brand headers or with stock manifolds

the truck is my DD i tow a car trailer when loaded is about 3500-8800 pounds if not more. i'm not hurting for more power but i just was wondeirng if it was worth my time and money to go with headers?

any input would be nice

Any "cheap" headers are usually stainless steel. They will turn purple from heat discoloration in short order.

If you go the header route, spend the money on ceramic coated ones, and get locking header bolts.

You'll notice a bit of difference, definitely feel/hear it, but it won't be night and day.

Headers are almost always a better flowing part then manifolds. If they make "equal length" headers those would be optimum.
