Default 99 1500 slt laramie 360

so my brothers truck that im going to buy has a 5.9L 360 and well its gutless...

it has 114,xxx miles on it and lt 285/75R16 as far as i know since he has had it the only thing that has been done to it has been

brakes, plugs, wires, oil changes...oh and i changed the passenger side hub because the bearing was wore out to the point of falling apart.... then he bought a grill guard, running boards, tail light guards, 16x10 rims, and the 285/75 tires

so when i buy it im going to put the 14x3 air filter, fuel filter, change the trans fluid, oil, plugs wires cap and rotor button, and o2 sensor

and im thinking that will help it out a lot

is there anything else u think i should?

and as for mods ill get to it eventually because im going to put cab lights and tow mirrors... and either the ram 2500 suspension or air bags so i can tow the 24' enclosed trailer

ill take a pic and post it when i get a chance to

A new exhaust system or adding beefier aftermarket headers never hurt for more HP gains and a smoother powerban through the RPMs

no that sounds like a good start. should be a good truck after you get done with that. Have fun with the mirror thing though I just put one on my truck yesterday. since some idiot decided to come up with those interior plug things that push in. a word of advise on the tow mirrors move them around every month or so they have a tendency to lock up and then when you have to adjust the mirror you'll end up breaking the glass. I just put one on my truck because that happened to the tune of $355.54. but sounds like it's going to be one hell of a truck when you get done with it.

Even though the aboved mentioned is a good start, might bypass all that and put all that money towards a plenum fix. and maybe cat?

Im not to impressed with my trucks power either, but ya gotta remember its a big *** heavy brick going down the road. 245hp@4000 rpm 335ft-lb@3200 could be better, but it's costs to play..

If he hasn't fixed the plenum gasket, it is blown. It always happens on our Magnum engines, I don't care what people are willing to fool themselves into believing.

After thats done, you could buy a tuner, and wake that puppy right up.
