My 96 half ton 4x4 has a total of 7 leafs per side. Now the truck has a 2 or 3 inch suspension lift and the last leaf on the bottom looks like one that came with the lift kit but that would still make 6 without the add a leaf. Is that factory or did some one do some modifications. my buddies f250 only has 5 and my chevy half ton has 4. im askin cause i put 1000lbs of gravel in the bed and barley squatted it. now my chevy squats pretty good with 1000lbs.

 

my 95 has 5 leafs....

 

I am pretty sure someone added them. Mine came with 5.

 

my dad had a 96 ram 2wd, and he had 7 leafs...He was the one that got it done...when they did an add-a leaf, there were 2 leafs put in... he needed the back end higher for his camper....but when he asked to have an add-a-leaf done to their mechanic, he gave it back with 7 leafs....so i think that the lift kit is what added both.
