Default New Bumper Installed

Well I'm about 98% of the way done installing my new black bumper without a brush guard, yep thats right, I'm tossing it. I say about 98% because the white tabs that are suppose to hold the plastic pieces onto the bumper suck, at least on the lower piece. I ordered my bumper through Pershingauto on ebay and now after ordering from them, I'm inclined to recommend them to anyone. Took a month after ordering for it to arrive and only because I e-mailed them twice and after being ignored the second time, I left a nasty feedback which they wasted no time calling me after they saw that. They did deliver on their promise they made after they called me which was cool but then I got it and started installing it. Everything was good until I went to install the lower plastic piece. Like I mentioned earlier, the white plastic tabs that hold it to the bumper aren't doing their job, well at least not the 3 outer most ones on both sides. I spent about an hour screwing around with them trying to get them to work but I'm fed up with messing with them. My fix for it, when I get to it, is going to be getting some screws and screwing the plastic to the bumper. Once I do that, I'll be happy.

Anyway, here's some pics and yes i know my plate it slanted. I'm going to buy a new plate mount thingy when I get a chance to head down to the stealership.

Yea, I tried everything I could think of to fix it without having to put screws in but oh well...I'll have to do it later.

I just stopped liking it one day. It's a nice guard but not really what I wanted in one to begin with. The truck came with it so I can't complain but the guard I really want has space in the center to mount 4 lights where as I could only mount 2 on the outside. It's also done a number to my bumper, I didn't take pictures of it but it's pretty much done. Both plastic pieces are gauged, bent, and broken just from how it was mounted and how heavy it is. The bumper itself was all sorts of messed up from getting rubbed by it.

Dude I had the same problem with my front bumper I purchased from Pershing Auto on ebay. I couldn't get those damn plastic clips in right, and my bumper looked ugly with the plastic hanging out at the sides until I finally paid a body guy to tack them up for $80. Overall I wasn't really happy with buy there auto parts but I guess it looks ok.

You get what u pay for...

The tabs on the Pershing are worrisome. Been looking at then since JAN....

New valence should be about $85 from the dealer with new tabs, so just go that route and be happy.
