no it's my cousins atm... he traded a couple 4 wheelers for it this winter and is trying to sell it to me, so I was takin it for a spin... it's an 87 600 and needs a little minor tlc, but I kinda want to buy it if I can get him down enough... The wife is hounding him more than me about it, she wants me to have it for some reason...

I would buy a vacuum gauge from harbor freight for $10 and start troubleshooting from there.Vacuum readings will tell you a lot about the condition of your engine,from clogged exhaust to stuck valve to late timing.Its a tool from the past,but like a BFH,very useful.From what you describe,I would say the converter is plugged,but thats just my .02
