Default Replaced back bumper with pics

I know it's nothing exciting, but I replaced the old rusted out back bumper with a perfect one I found at the local junk yard for $125. Thought it was a good deal.

With the way that old bumper looks, 125 bucks is a hell of a deal on the new one! Looks much better now. Wish I could find a rear bumper around here in that shape, mines starting to rust out, but not nearly that bad!

Yeah it was like that when I bought the truck. The ad on craigslist said "minor rust on rear bumper" Gave me a good laugh when I saw it in person.

That's probably one of the best deals I've heard of somebody getting. A rear bumper at the local junk yard that's got dents in it runs $250.

The guy originally wanted 150, but I talked him down to 125. I was expecting an easy swap, but some of the bolts were too rusted, and I had to grind them off. Not a terrible job, but took a lot longer than it should have.

If your bumper is in relatively good shape with just cosmetic rust, you might look into having it re-chromed.
