Default New alarm need old one disabled

hello i have a 98 dodge ram 2500 v10 and , had a viper 5901 alarm/starter put in and my factory alarm still gets triped some times how , can i disable it , i took it to dodge and he tried but couldnt turn it off with his computer thing , he unpluged a few fuses still nothing

any ideas thanks

any way to cut wire running from alarm to horn and still have working horn?

Looking at the wiring diagrams in the 2001 manual.... the alarm module is wired into just about everything.... I don't think you CAN disable it......

I don't see how it could get tripped and the 5901 not get tripped too. The 5901 should have interfaced with the same door lock signal as the OEM alarm, plus use the new hood pin switch and the shock sensor. I have one in my office that I use as a display for training, I'll check the manual, but there should be a wire to disengage the old alarm.

i think because i disarm the viper but the dodge is still engaged
