1st time Dodge owner with a hesitation problem
I just ordered a pressure tester yesterday so I should be able to check it soon. I actually found a service sticker under the hood and apparently the truck only had 7000kms put on it since last April. Since it worked great before it was parked for a few months, I am thinking maybe the filter is plugged. So when I test the pressure what am I looking for? Will the pressure fluctuate? Sorry for the stupid questions but I am a painter not a mechanic. As for the throttle body it was surprisingly clean, just a little black carbon around the throttle body openings. I was also thinking that maybe I should put a little bit of methyl hydrate in the tank just in case it has a bad case of water.
What filter? The fuel filter is non-serviceable on our trucks and cannot be replaced.
PSI for a 1999 should be in the ballpark of 49 PSI.
FYI the 239 V6 is just about the same as a 318 or 360 V8 with two cylinders cut off. Shares the same design faults and most parts are interchangeable (Including modifications).

Are you guys sure because you can buy them on this site...http://www.car-stuff.com/carparts/do...339831656.html
as well my local dodge dealer has them listed for $65. I also checked myself and the filter is on the top of the pump and is held in with a rubber seal with a pick up hose on the end. It has a sleeve that you pull back and release the snap ring and off it comes. Maybe it is just my model but it has one none the less. Thanks for the psi info.
