Default tranny noise

my tranny is making noise like something is loose and its pretty loud. its done it since i bought it 8 months ago. but just recently when i first start it up and put it in gear its sorta like it takes a couple seconds to go even hitting the gas. any ideas from the tranny gurus? oh and if its taking a dump on me whats the best aftermarket transmission under 3k? lol just getting prepared

1. You could be just starving your system
1a. +1 on dropping the pan
1b check fluid level, smell and color
1c clean your tranny cooler lines

2. Our trannies are fairly easy to overhaul yourself. I did mine 20k miles ago, cost me $400.

you'd be better off rebuilding, it would be cheaper and it can be bulletproof almost with 3k
