Temp sending unit

Question Temp sending unit

Help point me in the right way i thought I got the correct sending unit but went I put it in the front serto port it looks to be to long it will not thread in and it's I 1/8 in unit..... Any help would be nice

Front servo really isn't where you should put it. You should put it in the feed line (out going) of the trans.

This is what I was planning on using when I do my temperature gauge install:

It say it reads about 5 degrees cooler than when the sensor is directly in the fluid (at 200F). But, you don't have to cut any of your lines to make it work.

What gauge did you go with? I know Silver Dodge and CSX Fan got the Autometer trans temp gauge and the sender unit that came with it fit perfect in the servo.

Well that's the thing I have a few gauges sitting back form diff projects.... The one I tryed is a sunpro temp gauge for oil or coolet...... So maybe the sending units for shorter? Than all I would need is a diff sender,, but when looking on jegs they look the same

i used the back servo port works just fine.

did your sending unit look to be just as long as the one i have?
