I got rear ended on the intersate
"The only injury the lady in the yota got was from a pair of shoes hitting her in the head. Very safe car IMO."
Speaking from experience, the Driver of the van will be covering the damages to the yota, the Dodge and his personal vehicle. Via insurance or out of pocket.
Seriously, go get your neck checked out. I know people who have been seriously messed up in parking lot accidents. Just depends on how the impact strikes you.

and yes, his insurance IS covering my ER trip and my primary physician visits concerning any issues I may have. It helps that his insurance company (USAA) also happens to be my insurance company.
guess i should clarify, the neck comment was a failed attempt at a joke. I refused medical care at the scene, two days later i was in agony. My lower back, my neck and a slight headache towards the front of my head. I went to the ER and was diagnosed with "Typical Whiplash" (not just whiplash, Typical wtf ever that means) I was given pain meds (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and instructions to follow up with my primary physician. Thanks for the concern fellas.

I would visit a chiropractor. Yeah, a lot of people call them quackopractors, witch doctors, and the like, but think about it -- manipulating the body to heal versus drugs and being cut. If Western Medicine is so damned good, how come the warning labels for most medicines makes the drug sound like it will do more harm than good? When I had my wreck, my neck hurt like no tomorrow and I visited the chiropractor the next day. He told me that within three days I would have a bruise and pain along the seat belt path -- sure enough, I did and it hurt like hell. He followed up by explaining how a lot of symptoms won't manifest for days. It was through his treatment that I learned of my neck issues and had to be referred to a neurologist. The neurologist was pleased that I did not want surgery and prescribed 30 days of physical therapy for my neck. I couldn't turn my head more than 10-degrees before PT, but when finished I regained the full range of motion.
And yes, the insurance of the woman at fault paid for every bit of it.
Geico can't touch USAA as far as price goes for me. I had Geico for a few years and when I went shopping for insurance I went with USAA because they only wanted half of what ALL of the other insurance companies wanted.
