Any failure of comprehension was not on my part: As I stated, had the toy driver been seriously injured I would not have posted the black humor. She was not seriously injured. I posted.

'Nuff said.

I don't care about price, it's the coverage is what counts.

My lawyer informed me that in Oklahoma, I can double-dip using MedPay on my policy, which he said is, "generally $1,000". When I told him the minimum Oklahoma Farm Bureau requires is $5,000, which my policy had, he about shat his drawers and told me not to worry, I'd actually make some money from the accident.

From what I know, USAA and Geico are the best two insurance companies as far as doing right by the policy holders.
If USAA is good enough for the majority of the people in the military then I think it's good enough for me.

I use the company I work for and it may be biased but so far the claims that I have had have been right on. Handled quickly and repaired quickly and had no issues. But that's just me. That's my 2 cents. Good deal that the vans insurance is taking care you you and that everyone was ok. I always like to hear happy endings to stories.

I don't settle for "good enough" and never did when I was in the military. Any time someone advertises "the lowest price/rate/cost" I get leery, because there's a chance that the quality isn't there or corners are being cut. Have you honestly reviewed the amount and types of coverage USAA, Geico, Allstate, and other companies offer for your coverage needs?

After 9/11 Farmer's Insurance damn near tripled my rates for house insurance. Almost every insurance company went into panic mode, raising rates left and right. A few telephone calls later, I discover that Farm Bureau would give me better coverage for less than what Farmer's what originally charging me. After another year or so, I had Farm Bureau handle my automotive coverage which was then being handled by Allstate. The price was a bit lower; however, the amount and types of coverage exceeded what Allstate was providing. Had the price been more, I would have still switched because of something called service. That speaks volumes to me and earns my business over price any day of the week.

I'm not here to argue, but don't get locked on price alone. That's one thing that pisses me off about people in the US. They whine and snivel that jobs are going to China yet they're the ones supporting that because they value costs above all else.

If your parents had it when they were (or are) active duty then you can get it, my dad had them in the 70's. They recently changed their policy where if you were ever in the military that you can get it, it used to be that you had to get an account while active to be able to get another account after getting out of the military (if you closed the one you had while active).

As far as I know they are the best, I haven't had to make a claim but I haven't heard of anyone getting screwed by them. My coverage is 50k per vehicle 100k medical per person and 50k property damage. I have liability on my camaro and full coverage on the truck and it cost about 500ish a year.

The only insurance company that I'll say really sucks is state farm because they burned my girlfriend when a woman ran a 4 way stop and clipped her bumper just as her car started to roll into the intersection after taking her foot off the brake and her mustang messed up the whole side of the car that ran the stop. With a witness and an incorrect police report she was told that she was at fault and got points on her insurance because of it.

That's pretty good. Even though you are military, check into MedPay coverage and also rental car. That also sucks about State Farm, and thanks for the reminder. I had to file a claim with SF once. I was towing a VW on a tow dolly and the car fell off. I later learned this is not uncommon, and the car hit a bridge, taking out both front fenders. State Farm settled the claim and let me buy the car back. I ended up dropping them when I got married, but when I tried to go back, the wouldn't take me because I had a past history of having file ONE LOUSY CLAIM!

DIICKS!
