Yes I got 1.72's if you want to be exact. The deck was not touched and I am running the stock cam. I cant remember what the head gasket is will have to look. Had the heads checked out and everything is according to the build. Tall valve covers are a must no clearance at the baffles on the stockers.

Just enough compression to start/run add any fuel to that and it dies. Checked compression and did a bleed down. Little compression and bleeds out through the intake.

How much lift is that cam again?

Too short a pushrod definitely would not cause that, but too long possibly could assuming you didn't have a piston to valve hit by the valve being held just slightly open.

Any reason to suspect a broken spring? Intake leak down is most likely am intake valve, is it all valves, or just one or two?

First thing that was check was the pistons-- no strikes, then checked for bent valve stem---nothing.
