i got in a street race yesterday in my 1999 dodge ram and i lost by literaly only 5 ft from a 2004 mustang. what can i put on my 1999 dodge ram 1500 to get more speed/ hp?

start with the basics, do up your exhaust, put a cold air intake on it, good plugs, wires, distribitor cap and rotor. Make sure your plenum is not leaking cause if it is, you will loose lots of power. Also run some 93 octane in it and do the poor mans throttle body mod. Then you will beat up on that v6 mustang!

 

sorry ive never heard of 93 octane. what is it?

 

Its a higher octane gasoline, I believe its also called Supreme I think.

Get your truck in tip-top shape. Change all the fluids with synthetics, spark plugs (NGK), plenum, etc...
