that is exactly how i did it. but i also added my aux cooler. i havent had any leaks. that was about 3weeks ago. i keept reading the other DIY for this and kept getting confused i finally went out there and started taking it apart and figure it out. this way is sooooo much easier! good work Dave!

I am still confused on how this works. How did you remove the original check valve? Does it unbolt?

the check valve is inline in the section of hose that gets removed.

Its that big fitting on the top hose in this pic (from the other DIY)

Just remove this end of the hose with 2 wrenches.

This end of the hose is attached to fitting coming out of radiator
above the lower radiator hose.
You MUST use a quick connect removal tool to get this end off the fitting.
DO NOT CUT THE FITTING TO REMOVE THE HOSE!
Use the removal tool.
Then follow my instructions in first post.
Any more questions please ask.

Ok. So I have to go buy a line dis-connect thing. It wasnt in your parts list so I didnt know how to get it off.. Thanks

Yep. Do yourself a favor, and get the slightly more expensive metal version. Dodge seems to like that type of connector, and you will find a great many of them on your truck......

Should be able to. Make sure it is a well made piece though, and not just some cast potmetal. :d
