Default whats the deal?

how come it seems to me, just from readin post on here, i get the drift thatyou guys just replace random **** on ur truck even though its not broke. why would you do that? I dont understand it i guess. just seems like a waste of money to me, if its good dont fix it. who knows you could have a good part, then buy your "new" one for whatever reason you feel, and thenyou install it and you got a bad part.

Sometimes it's to prevent things that are commonly known to fail, others are to add power (for whatever reason you see fit), and some are just to add a little bit of personality to your vehicle (much like adding a swimming pool to your home, you don't NEED it but everyone likes a little luxury). To each his own. If it's not your thing, that's respectable.

It's just because we're not as smart as ryan0714.

for me, it's therapy. take for example, I read a thread on here a couple days ago and learned that some rams have a power steering cooler on them. I don't have one of those on my truck right now and I wanna add a lift and larger tires when money allows but in the mean time I can do this mod. sooo I went to the pick and pull yard on a recon mission Thursday and found a ram with one, I sized up the job of removing it and am gonna go tomorrow with the tools I need and 10 bucks get it and then install it on my truck. I will then consume a cold beverage admiring my work.

Consuming of the cold beverage is also an excellent idea while doing the job.

No no no you guys are doing it all wrong. You have to consume multiple cold beverages. Just not so many that you start putting your parts on upside down..

Every human being is an individual, you dont need to understand.

What anyone does with their money or truck should not bother you. This thread smells like socialism (flame on).

I suppose you think we should all drive the same car and all be a like? Customization has been a huge part of cars for a very long time and putting money into this hobby is no different then any other. You know my Sony PS1 was not broke when i bought an xbox 360, things don't always have to be broke to be replaced.
