Thumbs down 95 ddodge ram crank sensor damaged by TC

I had a new crank sensor put in the 95 dodge ram 5.9l here

the torque converter teeth chewed up the front part of the sensor?
I think that the crank sensor needs to read the 8 holes on the flexplate

is that true? It is funny how the part does not fit perfectly when you purchase them from the auto parts store. The lst crank sensor broke so this is replacement that was damaged immediately by the tc

Most likely it was installed incorrectly, or they gave you the wrong part.

I've seen 4 crank sensors by 3 different Brands and they were all the same dimensions.

Is it possible the flexplate is faulty took out the original as well?
