Default Ram Body

Does anyone know about how much it would cost to have the body on a 1996 ram 1500 completely replaced?

Well that will depend on alot of factors. But I would say your best bet would be to find a salvage Ram with good body (with bad engine or trans) And you could probably save a $$ versus finding piece by piece. Which body style are you looking for? Reg cab or extended, short or long bed? I bet you could get a body under 1000 easy.

Just gotta find the right truck

Finding one truck that has a good body to scavenge parts from isn't going to be an easy task. Finding several that you can get assorted pieces from is more likely. Besides, if you found one that had a great body, why not just stick a good engine/trans/whathaveyou into it? save a LOT of work.

There are several trucks in the yunk jards around here.... between all of them, I still couldn't come up with a bed in better shape than mine.... of course, it IS michigan.... road salt plays hell on body parts.....

too bad your in Minnesota

i just banged up my 1996 (front end damage only)

the bed was just recently painted (although not your color) and rhino coated, the under side was sandblasted and painted black. Tailgate too, and the doors are probably all usable too. All freshly cleaned up and painted.
