i have tried flowmaster, cherrybomb, couple different turbo mufflers, and magnaflow. i like the tone of the magnaflow the best. its nice and deep. its not real loud though, if thats what you are looking for. and lower interior noise.

i love my flowmaster super 44, and so does alot of other ppl, at least to my face, who knows what they really think. The only issue i have is getting the stainless muffler to clamp down on the tailpipes enough to keep them in place, The pipe walls r a little too thick and i keep breaking 3/8 thick HD muffler clamps. Im gonna try the band clamps, if that doesnt work flowmaster said it can be welded to the tailpipes which r aluminized.

I posted this suggestion in another thread, but the Thrush Welded mufflers look a lot like 2 chamber Flowmasters but cost much less!
Scroll down about half-way or so to see the internal view of this muffler.

They're pretty cheap from Jegs, and Summit as well!

I'm not a fan of Flowmasters. I had an 80 series (cross flow muffler) on my Camaro. I was never a huge fan of the sound, but a lot of people told me they liked it. At the time I bought it based on everyone elses recommendations, but now I don't think I'll ever buy one again due to the price and lack of flow characteristics, not necessarily the sound.

I really like Dynomax Bullets. Free flowing, won't blow out, and are half the costs of Magnaflows or Flowmasters.

When it comes down to it, buy what you think sounds the best whether it's a cheap turbo muffler or a top of the line Borla, or even a straight pipe. Just listen to as many different Youtube videos you can find to get an idea.

I'm thinking either flowmaster 40 series, or a cherry bomb extreme, from what i hear the CB extreme is really well liked by who has it, and it sounds pretty damn mean to me.

a lot of people got flowmaster and another group has cherry bomb. i had the same problem when i went to get my exhaust for my 4.7 Dakota and after a while, debating on brands i decided for BORLA. Not a lot of people has them and sounds awesome. Not as loud as the flowmaster but is has a deep growl at low rpms but at wot, people will look to see what is it.....
