Post-Plenum Issue
Well I went and did my Plenum/Intake Gaskets on Friday. Drove it probably for a good 80 miles with no issues. Now whenever I stop my truck completely, and then hit the gas, it has about a one second delay. And on time has to push my truck because the throttle wasn't responding at all to my gas pedal. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this.
Thanks.
Thanks.
My cables are back in the guides. Everything is put back as a remember it. The only thing that I could even remotley see me messing up is the two vacuums on the side of the intake, its possible they copuld be backwards (One goes to the brake booster and the other to the valve cover)
no, the drivers valve cover tube goes to air box, the pass side is the PCV valve and that goes to the manifold.
my drivers side has them all plugged except the brake booster line on the manifold/.

an acceleration delay is usually a vacuum leak.
as a test - cap off all the vac lines on both sides of the intake.
you can use rubber caps or short pieces of hose with golf tee's or bolt's inserted in the end.
which side each device is may vary some by year, the the brake booster will be on the drivers side. PCV and air box will be on opposite sides. these vary by year, but my 01 has PCV on drivers side and air box hose on passenger.
try capping the lines first...
edit - next look at throttle linkage including TPS connector.
