any ideas how 2 fix this gap

Default any ideas how 2 fix this gap

its the same on both sides, the guy i got the truck from said it happened when he hit the ditch. it drives fine so i dont think the frame is bent, any ideas would be great. its a 1998 4x4 1500

can you push in that lower portion of the fender?not towards the door, just straight down.

u mean unbolt it and move it?? im kind of nervous 2 what if the bolt holes wont line back up

it looks like that bottom portion isnt even bolted....if it is id say he bottomed out or something and it spread the fenders a bit.

so if i un bolt them i should be a ble 2 adjust them right??

its worth a try...if need be drill new holes and put new bolts in.....

Don't take the fasteners out, just loosen them and see if you can move the fender into proper alignment. If nothing is bent it should easily enough move into place.

NO. do not simply "drill new holes" find out the cause of it, theres no telling what could be drilled into, and he doesnt need any extra unneeded holes


you keep saying youre a mechanic and such, yet i see alot of posts with the similar sense to them
