Default 5.2L to 5.9L Swap w/ 46RE Trans. ?

I am about to get a new transmission. I am also thinking about switching my current 5.2L for a 5.9L. Will the 5.9L just bolt on and do they both use the same transmission. What modifications are necessary for the swap procedure.

All the V-8s use the same trans. There MIGHT be a difference in torque converters, but, I do not have solid information on that.

the 318 is internally balanced while the 360 is externally balanced so i believe heyyou is right and you need a pcm from the 360 truck or it will run either rich or lean...can't remember which or get hemifever to flash a sct for ya

Its a scan tool that can reflash your PCM to run the new motor. Runs around 275 from HemiFever, which is actually cheaper than most places..... Send him a PM.

Well I hear from others on DF that he does "custom tunes" but the best way to find out is to just PM him.
