my ol' girl tipped the local grain bin scale at around 5,700-6,000 lbs about a year ago. I can't remember exactly. It was with me in it and I think it had about a half empty tank. I'm pretty sure she's gained some weight since then.
my 1500 regular cab and short bed weights about 5400 when leaving the dump with me and the tool box. minus about 170 for me, 60 for tool box, and 200 for contents is about 430, so the truck plus gas is about 5000.
with my truck weighing around 6200lb im kinda worried what it will weigh when i get my winch mounted( might bolt it instead of using the multi mount it came with) but with the winch, headache rack, my tires and wheels, the steel rear bumper, my topper and all the bed liner im putting on im betting i will be damn close to k what yall think? plus my 500lb of sand in the winter... and my tool box that i have yet to put in... lol i need a cummins.
For some reason, the number 4800 is sticking in my head from the last time I went to the scrap yard (Reg. cab, short box, basically empty aside from me). Don't quote me though.... it sounds quite a bit less than what everybody else is coming up with.
