Starting Plenum Fix Today
So I have finally ordered my plenum kit, i also got the extra gaskets and bolts and the 180 thermostat. I have read up on how to do it. I haven't done anything this complex yet but I'm confident it will go over smooth. My only question is what other special tools do i need? I will pick up a torque wrench today, I have tons of ratchets and what not, do I really need to get a fuel line disconnect? Read somewhere that I don't.
Hopefully I will be taking pictures along the way, it seems rare to find any DIYs with pictures.
Thanks

You might could get away without a fuel line disconnect, but it sure makes the job easier and it doesn't mess up the fittings when you take it off. Also, if you haven't put on new plug wires and done a cap and rotor, it's a really good time to do it when the intake manifold is off.
the gaskets that do not need RTV are the plenum gasket and the TB gasket. the new side intake gaskets and the front and rear seal gaskets that sit on the block and come in contact with the intake do. if your doing anything else like i am the h20 pump needs RTV and the timing cover needs RTV. replace all hoses that you take off and replace the clamps (as someone mentioned yesterday). you can hijack my thread if you want. "am i forgetting anthing" and come up with other tools or parts you may need.
