Default Transmission swaps?

would a tranny out of a 4x4 2001 ram 1500 bolt up to a 2 wheel drive 2001 ram 1500? i know it's 46RE (2wd) and 46RH (4x4) but it should work shouldn't it?

They are both 46RE. Difference between the RH, and the RE is, the E (96? and later) is electronically shifted, and the H (95? and earlier) is hydraulic. (basically, the E is PCM controlled, the H is not). But, to answer the main question, no. It won't. Tail housing is completely different, as is the output shaft, etc.

Post 5.9 auto . to manual 5 speed

I have a 2001 dakota quad cab 4x4 with a 5.9 . I want to put a manual in it , so i have aquired a tranny with a the factory pedal bracket , master cylinder and slave cylinder from a 2001 4.7 dakota ... will it work is my question .

also need the PCM, and wiring harness.

If the bellhousing is the same (which I doubt) then yes.

cant i just reset the factory on or is the pcm and harness totaly different ... so you think it wil work if i had those items ?

Harness is completely different. Manual trans has FAR fewer controls on it than the automatic. I cannot say 100% for sure that your current PCM can't simply be reflashed, but, the pinouts are going to be quite different from auto to manual trans. It is more 'err on the side of caution' than anything else.
