A poor mans build is a lot more possible with a newer truck , But the gen.3 Rams are the most expensive truck for those years.finding one with a blown 4.7 Cheep is the way to go , but hard to do.. I'd like to see the hard work and money DDI has in this build pay off..

Sorry guys I have been crazy busy at work and my wife doing her thing from home seems like every second i'm working or watching my kid.

I did have some free time last week but I helped this kid at work put new shocks on this 66 ford he has and helped him figure out his weird knock from the passenger side. Turns out that was a total waste of time cause the engine blew the next day cause he had over filled his oil due to him thinking the knock was from being low on oil. So more he wants me to help him swap out the blown motor for a good one. Me being the good guy I am I told him I would help him, the kid has never really worked on any thing before and I feel bad not helping him out so my free time may be tight.

Good news is we got our tax return so I may be taking it to a shop to see if they can get it to fire cause I am stumped. I have literally read every thread on here on non starting Hemis and none of them lead me to any solution. I did pull off my need to drain the has tank finish my taillight wiring and to flip my rear shackles for s little more clearance.

I appreciate you guys and all the help and support I get on here. I will keep you posted with more progress from this weekend. Wife and kid are going to Idaho to visit my family so I have some unsupervised time to work on my truck.

Today I drained the tank replaced it with fresh gas. Replaced the IAT sensor got a new purge solenoid and had my battery charged. Put a new cone filter on it went to start it and it back fired and caught my new filter on fire but still will not start. I'm stumped it looks to be either going to a shop or to the parts list on craigslist .

I have been Researching and I may have a solution. It says if the fuel pressure is not high enough it can give you a bad fuel/air mixture ratio which if it's lean will cause the engine to backfire out of the intake. I am going to swap the hemi fuel pump out for my original fuel pump that I know worked and see if that cures the problem. If it does Awesome if not I am going to pull off and replace my injectors because that could be the other culprit. I replaced the Cam sensor two weeks ago. so that is new and I haven't messed with any wiring that would affect the vehicle operation( just lights and PL PW and overhead console. I just can't walk away from this stupid thing it's like a drug I literally think about it 75% of the time.
