I have the new camshaft and the replacement intake manifold but i have hit a wall no one sells the cam gear dowel pin. When the cam gear bolt snapped the pin sheared off as well so now i have everything i need to fire this baby except a 1/2" pin that has thrown a wrench into the mix I can get one from Chrysler if i order a factory cam from them, but that is way more than I want to spend. I'm trying to find a machine shop that can make me one in the mean time.

See if you can get the pin from a salvage yard.

Any fab shop should be able to make one with scrap and a lathe in about 5 min. and charge you no more than like $10 i would think.

So nightmare that this build has been I don't think it's any surprise that my cam won't come our out it is stuck like a Ford in the motor. I did have to weld a bolt on to the end to be able to leverage it our buy it will not move i have rotated it and all the lifters should be out of the way. It doesn't turn freely at all wich makes me nervous that the block bearings are damaged. Am i missing something it should just slid right out and turn freely shouldn't it?
