Glad to hear you are pushing through the suck and gonna get it done. Been doing a lot of thinking lately about what motor my truck should get and I have to say the hemi idea is kinda tempting...

^^ I will assume that you mean a 572 hemi and not the chevy motor.

As cool as that would be in a show rig, I want to keep the thing driveable... And within a workin' man's budget

I lowered my asking price to 3k. I just need this truck gone. Removing the crank is over my head and ability as far as tool access goes. I also was told i have no more funds to spend on This "money pit" my wife says i put money into it but it doesnt help fix the problem. She is over it and i can't really blame her.

So all it needs is the broken/cross-threaded bolt removed from the crank? You have nothing to loose and everything to gain by fixing this yourself, center punch, drill, good drill bits, bigger ez out, drill 75% of that bolt out. Give it a shot you might just win.

Too bad you are not closer to me. I have everything you would need for that job except a new bolt.
