Default Leaking Problem

Ok so I drained the trans put in a new filter and fluid and added a trans drain plug. Well this morn I was looking to make sure no leaks and guess what? I have a leak in the new trans drain plug (at the plug bolt itself). So I was wondering what is the best way to fix this?? My biggest problem is I can't afford to replace the trans fluid again so I don't know how to pull the plug without draining the fluid. Any ideas???

Clean the drain pan thoroughly. Drain the fluid and put sealer on the plug. Pour the same fluid back in though a coffee filter in the funnel.

Empty the fluid in to clean containers, then drop the pan. Remove the drain plug then apply some RTV sealant on the plug, install the nut and your done.
