I bought pacesetters. Shortly later, I bought Edelbrock ceramics. The pacesetters were full of exhaust leaks, not to mention they began to rust quickly. And I live in dry Phoenix.
I got a pair of Pacesetter shorties and I had them Jet-Hot coated. Well worth the money, of course I got the headers for free. I highly reccommend using Remflex gaskets!

I may have to second that Pacesetters have leaks. My driver side header has an annoying leak and all the headers have been torqued and re-torqued. So I have that annoying ticking under throttle.

Let bluebeast2 and I enjoy the club too. Yeah they work but both of us also have the ticking under throttle Also for ceramic's they sure rusted a lot quicker than they should have imho.
I would get uncoated or SS header. When you get them sand them down with 320 or 600 grit sand paper and coat them with Dupli Color High Heat Ceramic Paint. Put 3-4 coats of paint on there and then fallow the instuction on how to bake them. You can do it on your truck or in an oven. This will keep the heat down inside the engine bay and give your headers a nice look as well.
The calculators I used said the Pacesetter LT 1-3/4" primaries and 3" secondaries were too big and I'd lose low end with them on my mostly stock motor. I know conventional wisdom is that long tubes make more low end...the calulators said these may not be the best for this....however would likely work great for a cammed out stroker or something. My goals are just a bit more power from a stock motor for towing through the mountains, not a cammed out stroker drag truck.
I don't know which is really better but the Edelbrocks seemed more in line with what the claculators suggest would best meet my goals. I have some Edelbrock shorties and extension tubes on the way.

That stuff does not work. It is a temporary fix, but burns off too. Ask bluebeast2 and all of the other products he has tried.
