Installing electric brakes on my Ram
is the green wire your power wire or trigger wire?
Well I had my mechanic take a look at it... From what he could see there was no harness at the front of the vehicle nor were there any connectors for the electric brakes under the dash... So it is going to cost around $500 to do it all because the other guy who quoted me for $200 said that was if I bought the controller myself and if there was already the connectors at the front of the truck... The only good thing about it is the entire kit comes from Chrysler and is made specifically for DRs.
Either way, my father told me he wanted to pay for it for me so that was nice of him.
Thanks for the input though... Because I have learned a ton from this thread

Lol, now im lost. In the post above you said you ran..
12v + (black)
ground (white)
brakes (blue)
Taillights (green)
I was curious how you wired your tail lights with a relay like you said above.

The wires you see hanging are not hooked up yet

Ok I ran a black charge wire from the batt to the plug/I ran a white ground from the batt to the plug/ I ran a black from the batt to a breaker then to the controller/I ran a blue from the controller to the plug/I ran a green wire from the batt to a relay and a green wire from the relay to the plug for the tail lights. I also ran a white from the relay to ground and another green wire from the relay to the headlight switch.

Yeah I still can't picture it even though you added pictures. You have the headlight switch as your trigger and power wires / ground hooked to the relay, so your using the green output for running lights? You said turns earlier which is why I am still confused. I would figure you would need at least two relays to handle the turns (one for left, one for right). Thanks for explaining thus far.

I thought you said you ran your turns off that wire (which you did not, my fault). I was scratching my head trying to figure out how you ran left and right off of one relay lol. Running lights make sense... and probably isn't a half bad idea at all. Nice job man, and thanks for taking the time to "slow it down" for me lol
