Nice job man, and thanks for taking the time to "slow it down" for me lol
Trucks that have a tow package have a relay for the running lights so I just put one on mine too

I believe the Tow package had the 7 pin stock mounted to the hitch. If you have a 4 pin it might have be installed by the PO, which would mean you probably don't have the easy hook up under the dash. I would assume all you need is a brake wire then but not sure myself how all that works. I was lucky to have a tow package. I'd look under the dash for the plug for ****s and giggles. Maybe the PO decided he didn't need the 7 and replaced it with a 4. Stupid but possible.

Do you have any pics of the hitch you have? That would tell us if it was OE

Sorry I haven't been on to update. I've been extremely busy the last week or so.

Today my mechanic installed the 7-prong electric brakes on my truck. The brake controller is the REESE brand. It cost $448 after taxes and including the labor. A little steep but worth it as it was done professionally and the wires have covering on them and etc. He also allows me to do payments which is nice. I will be testing the system out tomorrow as I have to haul my horse to a new stable.

Thanks for all the great info!
