Default Stupid Inspections...

Got my inspection rejected due to my HID's. Dammit. Anybody know of a cool shop near Corpus Christi, Texas that'll act like they never saw my HID's? Lol...

Yea, I know. I could take them out and put in regular bulbs. But the damn things are very hard to get in and out of the socket without actually taking the headlight assembly out. So...anybody?

Just find a mom and pop shop down there that won't even check the lights. I'm up near Dallas and they didn't even check to see if my lights came on. Just asked.

My inspection sticker? Supposedly my HID's are illegal, even though theyre installed factory on all types of new vehicles. Which is BS.

Technically, if the vehicle didn't come from the factory with a HID system, its illegal.

Its to prevent idiots (especially ricers) from buying some 55w HID off road type brightness lights and driving around with them all aligned incorrectly so it blinds everyone three times over. I don't like the law, but meh, I don't like a lot of laws and a lot of things that should be law, aren't.

Small shops are your best bet.
The place I go to just beeps the horn and hits the blinkers and headlights as they're pulling it into the shop, then they hook it up to the computer for the required amount of time and send me on my way.
Then on my camaro a different small shop just asks for my mileage and registration so they can punch it into the computer then send me on my way without even looking at the car.
Inspections are retarded anyway for anyone other than women and city boys. I know if there is something wrong with one of mine and I fix it, I don't need someone to check them out.

yeah lol no kidding.

i forgot about TX and the people living there having stickers on their windshield on the lower driver side. reminds me of virginia with their inspections.

im glad where i live currently, i don't have to get even an emissions test done. won't be that way for long since i pcs to CO at the end of this year.

I'm glad we don't have inspections here. I also no longer have to have emissions in my county, which is good, but if they change that, i'm screwed. The new emission in other counties of Colorado requires the vehicle be run on a dyno. Not just any dyno either, but only a certain kind that is certified. And guess what, the only certified dyno's they are using don't handle tires 35" and larger. So basically to get an emissions test, i'd have to put on a set of smaller tires. So hopefully they don't bring the emissions test back to my county.
