I forgot to label my waterpump and timing chain cover bolts when I pulled them out. So when I installed my waterpump I had an extra bolt That didn't look like the others, just wanted to know where it went.

I had three longer bolts, four shorter ones, and one of the shorter ones didn't have a built in washer like the other seven bolts. It also had threads half way up the bolt.

the 4 long ones go through the timing cover water channels and into the block. they are out at the ends at 9'o'clock and 3 o'clock.

the 1 funky one goes at 12 o'clock (i think). i studied that one for a long time trying to figure out why it looked different - w/o success. its still a mystery to me.

I just installed it in the timing chain cover, looked like it went there. Do you know how difficult it is to find a stock timing chain cover for a magnum 318>?

no, i don't. is yours broken ?

try local junk yards, repair shops for ram, ram van, durango, dakota. your cheapest option might be to find someone with a blown up motor that would pretty much give it away.

you could put a parts wanted ad here, and link to it in the sub-forums (ram, dak, etc)
