Some people keep it on, others don't. Your call really.

I weighed heavily on that one myself, even sourced some cool red anodized aluminum bottles to replace my washer and coolant bottles because you gotta fab something up for them (in the Hemi at least) cause they mount to the shroud.

But at the recommendation of Marty at KRC Performance I kept the shroud as he stated that it significantly aids in funneling the air across the radiator.

I have since known guys who have removed theirs without an overheat issue, but I chose to take the guys advice as he has an impeccable reputation...

If I were to get one, I would get this one:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRM-19520/
5900 MAX CFM.
21 AMP draw (I have of Road package with the 136 amp alt).

Yeah it is pricey. But you would never have to worry about overheating.

For our trucks, it is safe to assume that the fans are not what is doing the cooling at 60+ MPH.

For almost $600, it would have to blow more than just the radiator fins!!!

I really wanted that setup in my heart, but way to much money. The setup I have now isn't the prettiest, but it works well and doesn't look bad at all. I'll take pictures someday. It got up to 90 degrees today, tied the hottest so far this year up here, and never even came close to hitting the 195 mark.

That was hilarious...in all seriousness though, if I'm gonna spend $600, I'm gonna spend it on the air gap. Not an e fan. To each his own though, right?

195 Tstat is perfectly fine. Just make sure you get the controller and it is not set to come on lower than 195.

PADodgeRam fabbed his own dual fan setup by welding aluminum sheetmetal and sticking two Efans in them.

Too bad he sold his truck.

I originally had a 195 t-stat for a day or two after the e-fan was installed, and I had it set to come on at around 200.

Didn't like that much, so I opted for a 180 t-stat and the fan to come on at 190-195.

Here are some pics. Pardon the lack of light, shot them at night in my garage, and pardon the spills all over, just got done attempting to change my power steering fluid.
