Brake Light Switch
glad ya got er fixed
on a side note related to the towing, I towed one of my Berettas on a uhaul swivel dolly one time. I made a left turn to get onto the highway, and even with the swivel base of the dolly I broke the steering lock, never locked again after that.... I would assume tow truck drivers know at least not to leave the wheel locked, dunno if it's better to strap the steering wheel or not, as I have not been to any towing school either

The reply about why they tied the steering wheel straight is correct. As a tow truck driver you are responsible for the vehicle in tow. It is always better to be over cautious and not trust a steering wheel lock than to have a major catastophie on the road and run the chance of killing someone. I am no big guy, and have actually broke a column lock on a vehicle with my bare hands before. Most tow truck drivers carry a piece of rope on their rigs to tie it with instead of using a seat belt that is in the vehicle because they don't know if there might be any problems with the belt or mechanisms in the vehicle. They do however know that their rope is in good working order and that the brake pedal is sturdy (also in the right position) due to you use the pedal constantly and it will stand a lot of abuse before it would ever even remotely think of having any weakness in it.
