What should the compression be?
You should redo it on a warmed up engine and Ill bet you get a more accurate, tighter range.
Be careful not to burn yourself, use a kit with a long spark plug hole extension. I think Harbor freight had them on sale for Fathers day this week.

The burning myself is why I didn't do it on a hot engine. Could my numbers be far enough off that I'd have a problem? Or am I fine since my numbers were pretty good on a cold engine? I've got long extensions, but I really hate to burn myself and I know it will happen on this thing if I try to do it when it's hot.
Well, since there isn't really a problem, and the whole exercise was 'just out of curiosity' to begin with, I would look at your numbers, smile, and call it a day. There isn't really a need to take it any further.
