I got my P3. will install soon as get this part figured,
My trucks a 2000 1/2 4x4. came with tow pk and has the harness to just plug it right in.
however .. when I got the truck I needed a 12v power source in the bed . So got under truck to run some wires and WOW, was already a set of wires all the way to the bat. just were not hooked up , SO . Those are the wires for the trailer AUX power ?
if so?
unless I want to run the lights and whatnot in my camper off my trucks battery I dont even need those for my brake system to work?
Hope that made since.
and yes it has 7pin connector on truck/

My truck came with the tow package. Sense I bought the trailer I had yet to be able to use the trailer brakes they just lock up at the slightest tap of the brake the 7way at the hitch was looking sad so I replaced it and got no results. Any ideas...... How do you like impulse dodge1500? Sorry for thread jacking just tried everything in the book pretty much and cant seem to figure it out.

Isn't the brake controller adjustable? Or, is that just an "on/off" thing?

This is the same one I use works great. There are cheaper out there but you get what you pay for.

Edit, for some reason the picture makes it look like it is mounted really low but it isn't that low.. :/ Must be because it is a cell pic.

Its a on off thing. brake controller plugged in, it is a all or nothing. The brake adjustment is as low as it can be.
