Smile Just wondering

So first off i just got done with my 1ton axle swap and just want to say thanks to all who helped with the questions i had and what not i appreciate it you guys rock....anyways one project done and now imma start another...i want half doors for my dodge and i am gonna make my own out of a set of dodge doors from the junkyard but my question is has anyone takin their doors fully off and drove around with it off? Iknow its not legal casue there is no upward lip on the floor panel...but when i go wheelin the door just gets in the way and blocks me from seeing whats goin on. One problem is the wireing going to the door (power windows and power locks and the speakers) i was thinking of cutting the wires between the door and body and putting male and female connectors so i would be able to just disconnect it and yank the doors off (sounds easy when you think about it but it wont be)...does anyone have any ideas on how to go about this or seen anything like this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Pull back that rubber boot in the door and theres a connector in there for all the wires. And for the door contact you can take pliers and grab the outside of it on the trim and pull it out then disconect the wires.
