Default Plenum fix complete

So just got got done getting the Hughes plenum fix installed. Also did the plugs, wires, cap/rotor, oil pressure switch, put in a K&N air filter, valve cover gaskets and bypass hose replaced as well. Also changed oil cause though I was careful I am sure that there was all kinds of crap that got into the engine/oil.

At first I thought I had a major problem as the check engine light was on and there was a bad ticking noise. Turned it off and checked the oil for water and checked all over to leaks. Didnt find anything wrong so I started it up again and the ticking was still there but not as bad. Took it for a drive around the block and the ticking went away as did the check engine light. My guess is a lifter. Took it then to get gas and no problems at all.

Now I just have to get the cat replaced to let the engine exhale as well as its inhaling and running now!

I didn't even bother with the stock fan when I went to install my electric fan. The water pump was starting to go out, so I just took the fan and pump off as one unit.

Forgot to mention that I also traded the stock 195 thermostat for a 180 failsafe. I know hughes engines recommends a 180 thermostat and I gotta say that my dakotas 318 runs beautifully with one.

Thanks for the tip I need to file that one away and plan to do both at once.
