it is the original motor and i had it running fine. i had it out one day and hit a huge bump and the front tires came off the ground and it shut off. i pulled the crank sensor and it was scratched up from hitting the metal plate on the back of the motor(don't know what is called).so i got a new one, put it in and it started right up, and now its having the misfire.i took it out today and went like a quarter mile and then in shut off. It took a little bit to start. i got it home and punched it down my street and it go up to 2500 rpm and didn't misfire. then i stopped and it started going again and it started misfiring again. and this is where im at now.

It takes some serious pounding to get that much flex out of a flex plate (which Chrysler calls a drive plate)!
You might want to inspect the flex plate to see if it's bent or if there's some foreign material lodged in one of the notches that the sensor reads. If the flex plate is bent you'll want to get it swapped out quick, before it costs you a transmission.
