I don't get it. If you need to rebuild your tranny, how can you test drive your truck?

I drove Purpl after I ****ed the trans. Its getting re-built anyway, so why not.

But I dont get how it can still run like a beast if that tranny is screwed up.

Tranny has no effect on how the engine runs. He fixed a huge vac. leak, so the engine can run like a beast now...

And he can run his ram with a messed up tranny. It all depends on whats wrong with it. When mine went, i was out driving. I drove home all the way in first gear. The truck ran great....in first gear.

It is driveable but the gears slip real bad, and it has a hard time grabbing the 2nd gear. I didnt just fix the plenum, I replaced alot of sensors, valve cover gaskets, dist. cap and rotor, wires, plugs, kegger mod. The engine has no more knock and that annoying pinging sound, and just feels like it runs alot smoother.

I was planning on doing the throttle body mod, but didnt have access to the right tools to bore it out.

^ I agree. I just notice that my dip stick was half a quart lower then what it was before. Now it's my turn to do the belly pan fix. Hey Nando, I'm the opposite of you. I just finished rebuilding my tranny and now I'm gonna start on my belly pan.
