AC just doesn't blow cold enough
Its been hot out for the past few days and my air just has been keeping me a little cool but not as cold as i think it should be. The lines under the hood do get cold and sweat and the compressor doesn't click on and off so im guessing its has freon it it. So why isn't it get cold enough?
Also for some reason if i hold both window switches up the driver side goes up way faster then the passenger side until i let off the driver side. Y would this be happening?
Thanks

shouldnt the compressor be kickin on? if it aint coming on then wouldnt that mean it aint workin? just a thought, i mean u never remember back u wouldnt be sittin there with the ac on and then u hear the compressor engage and start workin.
i think he's saying the compressor is running continuously, and not cycling on and off. running continuously is what it should be doing. if you like to do things yourself, and i don't know if i should suggest this or not - you could start with a recharge kit from walmart and you MIGHT be able to add some refrigerant to fix the problem - or you might waste $20 - or you might damage your system....
the kit with the gauge will measure your low side pressure, and if your system is low, it will allow you to recharge it.
however - DON"T overcharge it, and DON'T dump liquid refrigerant in, and DON'T waste too much money before you take it to a pro. and be aware of outside temps. pressures increase a lot with higher temps.
if your AC is a little cool, but not cold and everything is sweating properly, you might be a little low on refrigerant and the gauge will identify that.

just a guess on the windows, with both motors running its drawing a lot of amps across a common fuse. the drivers side is closer to the battery/pdc/fuse, and might be sucking up more of the available dc power. if you wanted to play with it you could probably run larger gauge wire to each motor and make em hum.
Go to your local parts store and buy an A/C thermometer. You stick it in one of your vents. If your A/C gets a consistent reading between 40-60f, that's an indicator that your system is working without a problem. I was having the same problem and realized after I got one that I should probably add a fan to my condenser. I am looking into E-fans.
i dont understand i guess, i mean ifeverything is workin properly, it should freeze you out. i replaced the compressor a long time ago cuz of the bearing going bad, and i charged it back up and forgot what exactly the thermo said but it was in the 40s, if ur stuff is workin properly and charged right, yours sure to make every girls nipples hard.

I think thats what alot of people don't realize...how the system works. The transfer of heat is the thing. If your measuring it in afternoon traffic with weak or no air passing by it, then it doesn't work right . Check how hot the air is around the radiator.
And I going to put in an electric fan when I do my complete system next month. Texas heat will fry your brain. I know.

And considering that it is 100 degrees in places, you are just talking about 80 degrees.
Plus, there is such a thing as MAX AC. THat should help you keep your boyfriend's nipples hard.
