I liked the meguiars clay bar kit.

YOu don't need the clay. THe cleaner wax is the best wax out there. The abrasives take out all the impurities and if you are using a variable speed buffer, then you will be VERY pleased.

Meguiars cleaner wax is the best wax for an everyday automobile. it cleans, nourishes and protects. THen you have chow car glaze if you want to look REALLY shiny. But show car glaze does not have any protectants and waxes to nourish the paint.

I have a porter cable machine buffer, I picked up meguiers scratch x 2.0 after I i went ballistic with a wash and clay. I had tons of scratches from off roading, it was bad, enough to the point I was sure I needed a new paint job.

The scratch x 2.0 worked great, you have to be careful, this stuff needs to stay wet while your working it so be prepared with a misting bottle if it's warm outside. If it does dry out, you can just get it wet again, all will be well. When your done you MUST rewash the vehicle before applying top coat of any wax product. There's no choice in this, if you don't your top coat won't show as well and you'll be leaving abrasives on your paint.

Do you have pictures at all?
