Need some help fast!!!!!!!
Well I finally got finished replacing the intake manifold, new water pump, new timing chain, new old pump, new fuel injectors, and a long list of sensors!!!!!!!
Truck ran great for the first 350 to 400 miles, made it down to Florida and now it's pulling a code, which is a misfire code in the number two cylinder. What should I look for to resolve this problem? I don't think it's the fuel injector because I unplugged it and it did make the truck idle different. Could it be something as simple as a spark plug needing to be changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also could I do any damage driving it back up to Georgia without fixing this down here?

You went thru all that, and didn't change the plugs??? Shame on you.
Check and make sure all the plug wires are on tight. (both ends...) When was the last time the truck had plugs/wires/cap/rotor?
Might wanna pull the plug, and see what it looks like.
If its an easy fix, you wanna do that before you had back.

Got it!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason why I didn't replace them is because they were brand-new sparkplug wires rotor cap And plugs about two months before I did all of this work to the tuck. I'm going to pull it out tomorrow and take a look at it and hopefully that's what it is.

i'm just thinking out loud of what's the worst thing that could happen.
if the spark is missing or weak - you'll be low on power and mpg, but no harm to the engine.
if the fuel is lean or missing - you might get higher temperatures and this might be bad. anyone else concerned over this ?
Thanks for all your help and advice. It turned out that it was the sparkplugs. Replaced all the sparkplugs when I was in Florida. Replace the rotorcap and all the spark plug wires. The truck is running phenomenal. My PLENUM gasket was so bad that I was averaging anywhere from 6 to 7 miles a gallon. The whole way down to Florida and back i was averaging 15.9. I will post some pictures later on tonight of all the work I did. Now it's time to tackle that Death Flash issue.
glad you made it back home.
if you just want a simple solution to death flash, get a superchips or hypertech. it'll give you a little boost and allow speedo correction for bigger tires.
if you want serious performance and want to add a lot of custom parts, invest in an SCT tuner with forum member hemifever. the only bad thing is that it doesn't correct the speedo.
i've got a hypertech for 2001 that i'll sell cheap. pm if interested. being completely honest - i like the superchips a lot better.
